OUR VISON

International Tournament

Our goal is to establish the Berlin HEMA Cup as a renowned international event that attracts participants from around the world. We aim to create a platform where fencers of all disciplines can showcase their skills and compete on an international stage. To ensure fairness and professionalism, we place strong emphasis on high-quality judging and strive to provide above-average compensation for our referees.

Multiple Tournaments in One Weekend

We offer the unique opportunity to participate in several tournaments over one weekend. With multiple disciplines, including Longsword, Saber, and Rapier & Dagger, each featuring Open and Women’s categories, this event is designed to maximize the competitive and learning experience for all participants.

Team Effort

The Berlin HEMA Cup is built on the spirit of teamwork and collaboration. Everyone who wants to contribute is welcome to lend a hand, even in small ways. In return for their support, helpers receive discounted entry fees, meals during the event, and the chance to gain valuable experience while being part of an incredible community effort. Together, we create an event that’s not just about competition but about coming together to make something truly special.

Equal Opportunities for Women and Minorities

We are committed to ensuring equal opportunities for women and minorities in all aspects of the tournament. This includes fair starting positions, equitable promotion, and visible representation across all categories. We actively support Women’s+ tournaments by providing fair access to spots and equal consideration in scheduling, creating a space where everyone can compete at their best.

Competition & Exchange

The Berlin HEMA Cup brings competition and exchange together. Alongside our tournaments, we create opportunities for fencers and instructors from different clubs, disciplines, and countries to share their knowledge and experience. Through workshops and encounters beyond the tournament floor, we want the Cup to be a place where people not only compete, but also learn from each other and contribute to the development of HEMA.

Community

The Berlin HEMA Cup is more than just about winning. While competition is important, this event is also about friendship, camaraderie, and building a stronger community. It’s a chance to form new connections, strengthen old ones, and look forward to meeting friends again year after year. We believe the spirit of HEMA thrives not only in the ring but also in the bonds we create along the way.
